Ready To Heal Your Nervous System?
I can’t tell you how many people come to my practice seeking relief from their TMJ.
Most have already gone to another specialist, which means a dentist.
Sadly, dentists maintain only a 6 to 8% success rate for treating TMJ.
Whereas my success rate for treating TMJ and headaches is 98%.
How is this possible?
It’s a question of approach.
TMJ stands for temporomandibular joints. These are the hinges that connect our lower jaws to our skulls on either side of our faces, below our ears.
To get a bit technical, these joints slide and rotate in front of each ear and consist of the mandible—the medical term for our lower jaws—and the temporal bone, which forms the sides and bases of our skulls.
The disorder most people refer to as TMJ is called TMD, or temporomandibular disorder.
TMD is a wide diagnosis referring to any incident where a patient experiences chronic facial pain because their jaw’s system of muscles, bones, and joints isn’t working in harmony.
This can be caused by, or lead to, any number of conditions such as jaw dislocation.
Osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis may also play a role.
From one point of view, cases of TMD can be quite complex.
Not from mine.
Ready To Heal Your Nervous System?
Generally speaking, dentists tend to look only at the jaw when they treat TMJ/TMD.
However, after 30 years of practice, I know that most cases of TMJ/TMD (and headaches, too, for that matter) are caused or exacerbated by imbalances in the patient’s central nervous system.
In other words, I treat the whole patient to arrive at my high success rate.
While dentists only treat the patient’s jaw.
