I don’t have many regrets in life but I do regret my dad not being around much during my formative years.
Mom was mostly an absentee parent.
And the town I grew up in, Catonsville, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore … well, it was rough.
There were a lot of influences around me that could have led me down a wrong path.
It would have been nice to have my old man push me a bit when it came to things like getting an education, going to college, and so on.
Without these aspirations, I turned to racquetball, which I excelled at, and specifically teaching racquetball, which I did as a teenager … and often earned $1800 a week.
I thought racquetball was going to be my life. But then, in the early 1980s, the sport began to decline in popularity.
At this point I started dating an attractive blonde Air Force recruiter who said, “You should play racquetball for the Air Force.”
We had met at a racquetball tournament where I beat the U.S. military’s top racquetball player handily.
“What are you talking about?” I said. “People play racquetball for the Air Force?”
I knew all at once: that was my ticket out.
Oddly enough, I ended up surfing for the military and ended up doing well in two championships.
But that’s another tale for another time.
I’ve used NRT to help 98% of my patients get rid of their pain and start living again.
If you live in the Maricopa County region and you’re suffering from chronic pain, don’t give up.
